  The WOWPinoy website is a project of the Department of Tourism (DOT) that aims to entice people (both local and abroad) to explore and travel in the Philippines. It not only promotes or describes the key destinations but also help promote establishments in those areas. The basic functions of the WOWPinoy Website are the following:
  • Provide basic information about the country’s 15 key destinations namely: Bacolod, Baguio, Benguet, Bicol, Bohol, Boracay, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Ilocos, Iloilo, Manila, Palawan and Subic.
  • Rrovide site users/travelers a list of DOT-accredited establishments. It ensures legitimacy of merchants and protect travelers from unscrupulous individuals/merchants that prey on inexperienced travelers
  • Enable wireless communication (both web and mobile) between participating merchants and travelers. It should have the ability to entice people to book and travel through the website.
  • Provide site users the ability to communicate and communicate FREE via the WOWPinoy Instant Messenger
